Our range of self inflating sleeping pads is the foundation for a good night’s sleep – we have models for backpackers, comfort-oriented campers and vehicle-based outdoor users. Using a combination of air pressure, foam and soft fabrics, self inflating pads are often the choice of end-users whose focus is comfort rather than ultra light weight.

However, our Delta Core and Delta Core-V process makes our self inflating sleeping pads lighter, more compact, and incredibly comfortable. The innovative design strategically removes cores of PU foam using body-mapping (different for unisex and Women’s specific pads) for maximum efficiency. Frequently Asked questions

Are self-inflating sleeping pads best for a certain activity?

Self-inflating mats range from the lightweight, performance-oriented Pursuit (great for backpacking) to the luxurious Comfort Deluxe (intended for vehicle-based camping)

What are the benefits of choosing a self-inflating sleeping pad vs. an air sleeping pad?

A self-inflating mat has a foam core that guarantees stability (some air pads are quite unstable). The face fabric of a self-inflating mat is not subject to the same stresses as an air mat, so self-inflating mats have softer, quieter fabrics. Additionally, a self-inflating mat has a lower cost than an air mat.

How do you inflate a self-inflating sleeping pad?

When the valve is opened, the foam core draws air into the mat. You will have to add some air to bring the mat up to full inflation.

How long does a self-inflating sleeping pad take to inflate and deflate?

Once it has been inflated a couple of times, a self-inflating mat will re-inflate in a few minutes. Deflating a Sea to Summit self-inflating mat is simple: flip over the XPEL valve to form a one way deflate valve, then you can roll up the mat without it reinflating as you go.
