Can the Plates be washed in a dishwasher?

Yes. The materials the Plates are made of will not be damaged in a dishwasher (unless they come into contact with the heating element).

Will the Plates be damaged by cold weather?

No. The silicone material remains flexible down to very cold temperatures.

Can you use the base of the plate as a cutting board?

You can, with appropriate care. Collapse the Plate, flip it over and make sure the knife does not come into contact with the silicone sides.
