Description || Alpha Light Spork

Description

A basic in every camp cutlery set, the Alpha Light Spork uses durable, hard anodized aluminum combined with a sleek yet strong shape to create an extremely lightweight utensil.

By hard anodizing the aluminum it forms a kind of 'exoskeleton' or shell. This encapsulates the aluminum, so there’s no risk of the alloy leaching into food. Its traditional size and shape also brings a little bit of home with you wherever you need it.

Features

  • Ultralight and super-strong aircraft aluminum alloy utensil
  • Conforms to FDA food safety standards
  • Smooth matte finish
  • Comes with a mini carabiner
  • Tough and lightweight for lifelong use

Frequently Asked questions

Can these utensils be sterilized with bleach?

Yes. Bleach will not damage the anodized surface of the Alpha cutlery. Please use bleach in moderation in the backcountry – it kills ‘good’ bacteria as well as harmful bacteria.

Note: Sea to Summit also sells a range of titanium cutlery. Please see the Titanium Cutlery pages.

Can these utensils be used with non-stick frying pan and pot finishes?

No, the hard edges of the cutlery will damage either a PTFE (Teflon) or a ceramic coating. Nylon cooking utensils are preferable.

Are they dishwasher-safe?

No. The caustic cleanser used in dishwashers will damage the anodized finish of Alpha cutlery.
